Recently the City of Puerto Vallarta has attracted countless visitors who increasingly demand a wide variety of foods, from the cheapest to the most expensive gourmet style of international cuisine. The latter is the most requested in many of the most exclusive resorts in the area.
Here I will share 3 Places where to eat in Puerto Vallarta that I like and are some most recognized that you can enjoy without having to stay in luxurious hotels and that you can have in addition to a delicious meal, a wonderful view of the beach or its famous Marina.
THE PALAPA
Since 1958, at this restaurant, you can enjoy exotic drinks served in blown glass, live music, and fresh seafood prepared with local ingredients and recipes.
It is a concept of tropical Mexican cuisine, combined with Asian and French influences to offer a culinary experience full of freshness and innovation.
Its dishes include blue crab eggs Benedict in chipotle hollandaise sauce and hash browns; shrimp crepes stuffed with spinach, scrambled eggs, cheddar sauce, and mushroom timbale; the famous Vallarta ceviche made with tomato, carrot, serrano pepper, and avocado; the pulpo al pastor tacos with avocado, roasted pineapple, chipotle sauce and lettuce accompanied by Mexican sauce and for dessert, the tropical cheesecake with passion fruit sauce.

THE BARRACUDA
One of the best things about this place is its tables on the beach, but you can eat inside the restaurant if you prefer to be away from the sand. If your thing is to feel the sea breeze, you should ask for a table downstairs.
Here they offer Mexican food from the sea, there are soups, tostadas, ceviches, agua chiles, and a very good grilled octopus. You can’t miss the smoked marlin tacos and the bacon-wrapped shrimp burger.
Everything is prepared on the spot, so sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it’s worth it.

BENITTO’S PANINOTECA
You can go to this place at any time: there are breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks like milkshakes, as well as a bar with very good cocktails.
The hallmark of the restaurant is the panini and, seriously, there are some spectacular ones. The roast beef and pastrami must not be missed, served on the bread of your choice and accompanied by an incredible variety of toppings.
Breakfasts are a blast. There are also pasta, carpaccios -tuna and beets are very good-, soups, pasta, and salads. Another plus point: they have a good selection of wines.
